We collect only the information necessary to provide the service:

• Account information: Email address and display name (if you create an account).
• Gear data: Equipment names, categories, notes, quantities, and photos you add.
• Shoot data: Shoot names, dates, types, briefs, and associated gear/kits.
• Profile data: Name, role, location, and bio (optional).

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide gear management, kit building, and check functionalities.
• To sync your data across devices when you sign in.
• To power AI features (gear identification, kit suggestions) — your brief and gear list are sent to our AI provider (OpenAI) for processing.

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored locally on your device and, when signed in, on Supabase cloud infrastructure hosted in secure data centers. Photos are stored in encrypted cloud storage.

4. Third-Party Services

• Supabase: Authentication, database, and file storage.
• OpenAI: AI-powered kit building and gear identification (only shoot briefs and gear names are shared, never personal data).

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Data is only shared with the service providers listed above to operate the App.

6. Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, all associated data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data (visible within the App at all times).
• Export your data (via PDF export feature).
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
• Use the App offline without creating an account.

8. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), row-level security policies on all database tables, and secure authentication via Supabase Auth.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes through the App.
